This weekend my wife and I attended a wedding of friends of ours, and it was gorgeous! We had such a great time celebrating them coming together as a couple! As I sat in the audience, looking at the groom's face as the bride walked down the aisle it took me back to my wedding day; nearly 2 months ago. Immediately that warm, fuzzy feeling started in my chest and before I knew what was happening my grin was already so big that “goofy” was the only word fit to describe it. In that moment I realized that every wedding my wife and I will go to from now on will not only be fun because it’s a wedding and there are drinks and dancing; they will also be great because it will remind us of our own wedding. Any wedding we go to will get us thinking about our day, and all of those emotions that we felt (minus the nervousness) will also come flooding back! In that instant I realized that a wedding isn’t just about celebrating that couple’s love for each other. The point of a wedding is about celebrating EVERYONE who is there and the love that they have in their own lives. Whether that love is directed towards family, boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse or even kids is irrelevant. I dare you to try to find someone who is upset at the next wedding you go to (unless an ex crashes that party…..AWKWARD!). It’s just not possible…. Now that I have found my forever wedding date, I can’t wait to go to as many weddings with her as possible; because in those moments I get to relive the best day of our lives! We have another wedding coming up in 2 weeks, and I can not wait!
